Hong Kee Dim Sum

27th February 2010

Mood: Tired

Best place to have dim sum?

Been craving for dim sum since the first day of cny! Unfortunately never have a chance to give a try! So, today i finally brought a friend to a local dimsum restaurant in KL area since someone said want to eat breakfast!

Wondering where can eat nice and delicious dim sum? As i know, there are a few local dimsum shops that i have been visiting, but the nice one is located quite a bit too far from where I stay - Puchong! The nearest one for me is either Jalan Ipoh, or SS2...maybe....but i have discover there is another dim sum place that is quite famous where there are many floggers have blog about this restaurant and there is quite some outlet outside too...For me, sure i myself is yearning to try it out..^^ It is "Hong Kee dim sum!"

Having no idea where the exact location is as there are quite lot hong kee dim sum outlet there, hence, decided to use GPS...We have choose to try the hong kee dim sum that located in Pandan Indah (floggers highly recommended outlet!!)

Unfortunately, today is saturday...i need more sleep!! and someone is late too...so we end up eating dim sum as lunch!! It's good sometimes, as we do not need to wait for sit as crowd normally only happened to come around 8-11 am! We reach there around 1pm...and it's lunch time..not much people tat time...hungry!

*Finally arrive at Hong Kee dim sum!*

*As always, my favourite tea - Heong Pin aka Jasmine*

*芋角 Yam Puffs...Crispy on the outside, fillings tasted real delicious with flavourful taste charsiew*

*Star of the shop and their signature, Sang Chow Loh Mai Fan - Fried Glutinous Rice...damn nice!

*Crispy fried wanton! very aromatic!*

*As usual, a must order dim sum for me...chee cheung fun!*

*Pork Dumpling a.k.a Siew Mai 烧卖 - full enough for me!*

*Prawn Dumpling a.k.a Har Gao 虾饺 - Very nice as it was fully wrapped with succulent and big size of prawn.*

*Miss this...i din order as i was too full...(pix grab from other floggers, same as below)

*To my suprise, it not really expensive...the food is nice and it's far more cheaper than some of the place, where they only served nomal dimsum..It's worth to give a try overall!!*
