Brilliant Movies

1st July 2008

Time to have a break....

It's time to relax and enjoying some movies...There's quiet lots new The Happening, Incredible Hulk, The Chronicles Of Narnia: Prince Caspian, KungFu Panda, Forbidden Kingdom, Indianna Jones and The Kingdom of Crystal Skull, Sex & The City movies...etc...blah blah blah..

Too much...really too much...well...i have watch some....which is worth to watch? Well, each of us has different''s depends on what kind of movie u like...but i realised that now in cinema mostly is adventure, action or martial art film let's talk about this movie....

Directed by Rob Minkoff, The Forbidden Kingdom is a 2008 Hollywood martial arts-adventure film. It is the first film where we can see two big star (Jackie Chan and Jet Li) together in this martial arts film genre. Other casts such as Michael Angarano, Li Bing Bing, and Liu Yi Fei. Below are the plot of this movie..

"American teenager Jason (Michael Angarano), who is obsessed with Hong Kong cinema and kungfu classics, finds an antique Chinese staff in a pawn shop: the legendary stick weapon of the Chinese sage and warrior, the Monkey King (Jet Li). With the lost relic in hand, Jason unexpectedly finds himself transported back to ancient China. There, he meets the drunken kungfu master, Lu Yan (Jackie Chan); an enigmatic and skillful Silent Monk (Jet Li); and a vengeance-bent kungfu beauty, Golden Sparrow (Crystal Liu Yi Fei), who lead him on his quest to return the staff to its rightful owner, the Monkey King - imprisoned in stone by the evil Jade Warlord (Collin Chou) for five hundred years. Along the way, while attempting to outmaneuver scores of Jade Warriors, Cult Killers and the deadly White Hair Demoness, Ni Chang (Li Bing Bing), Jason learns about honor, loyalty and friendship, and the true meaning of kungfu, and thus frees himself." Well, in my opinions, this is a nice and brilliant matter the production, sound effect, plot...all was perfect...One more things is that i watch this movie, i realise that Li Bing Bing in this movie really look quite pretty and she really look like Xu Wei Lun (a taiwanaese actress)

Great fight scenes but there's is some that i find quite unreasonable...this movie was mix of mandarin and english languages...what was quite funny is that, as the movie take place in ancient China, dressed in old-century clothing. Everyone was talking in mandarin, but Jackie Chan, Jet Li, and even Li Bing Bing and Liu Yi fei is talking's quite weird to see ancient china ppl who talk in english...well for me this is still fine....but what more funny is that even the Heavenly general, Jade Warlord and The Jade Emperor of God is talking in English...well, despite the mixing of language, overall this a worth to watch movie. It does bring pleasure to viewers, and the action scenes are exhilarating with Jackie Chan to bring some humor. It's action fantastic movie! Watch the trailer...
