A Visit To Cambridge

22th April 2008

A one trip to Cambridge....

"Welcome to cambridge", is what i see when i first arrived, walk out from the rail station....
CAMBRIDGE, for me, first of all...is CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY...i once dream to study here, as it was so famous..^o^...besides it is a beautiful place, with historical building, wonderful architecture, greenish scenery and some kind of vintage feel....well....after a visit to here, emm...almost 95% is true....wondering where is another 5%? 1% is because the rail station is too far from the city centre, and there is not much historical building i can see...maybe it too far for me to visit...beside that, there is not much vintage things selling as well...

What is so capture my sight is that, so what called "King's College"...it was truly amazing!! It's was so BIG, and so special...as a college...
*King's college*

Well, there is another college called "Queen's College" ...i wondering whether they are a "pair
"...haha

In cambridge, there is a very very large field called "Parker's Piece", and it was so beautiful, and so green....no matter, young or old peoples, there are all gathering here....and doing various kind of activities, such as camping, studying, playing football, badminton, kite, and some even training their pets here....it was so warm sitting here....opposite of this field (Parkside), there is large sport court, for publics, with a swimming pool as well....GREAT!!! (The first place in UK where i finally saw a place with swimming pool....not seaside i means...)

Another famous activities in cambridge is river tour...This punt tour is the best way to take in Cambridge's most famous sight, such as King' College chapel and the Bridge of Sighs....visitors here normally will try this boat travelling....to see the view around...

Shopping, is a one of the activities in cambridge here...."LION YARD" is the city centre shopping area....various brand can be found here...but not much branded stuff like in London Oxford circus...but it great area for shopping tooo!!

Other places to visit is like Botanic garden, Emmanuel College, Round Church, Market Square, Fitzwilliam museum, Judge Institute, River Cam, etc....

Finally, it was a great day spent at cambridge...another destination i would like to visit is - LEEDS...a big city, as i know...Looking forward to there...
