*Free Your Mind*

A trip to Manchester...

22th July 2006

Wonderful but tired day...why? Let's talk from the night before we going to Manchester...since we need to wake up at 4am to prepare breakfast...therefore, we decided not to sleep...">_<;...sumore assignment not yet finish..therefore, decide to do the assignment the whole nite and send to Mr. Iqbal to check...finally finish the draft at around 1am...try to sleep..but not sleepy....too much things to think...>_<... everything come into my mind...try to solve it...but have no idea what to do...juz hope the trip to manchester can feel more relax...free my mind! Tat's all!!! 5.30am need to get ready to leave the house...carry my big bag...damn heavy as well..sumore quiet cold that morning...omg..forgot to bring jacket...coz i though the weather will be very hot like usual...coz now Liverpool here is SUMMER ma!!! (sigh!) ..>_<; my handphone aso forgot to bring...i onli realise when i reach the bus station...no time to turn back anymore...

Anyway..everyone get into the bus...and me prepare to sleep...early in morning..of coz sleepy...plus yesterday no sleeping!! As i noe the journey will took around 1 hours...so...^o^...yeah..got one hour to sleep....even half an hour..i aso wan to take a nap!!! One hour..so fast...we already arrive at Manchester...everyone seem very excited....the weather in Manchester almost same with Liverpool...a windy day!!

Take out the map..and started to plan where to go!! The first place we went is Manchester Convention Centre...it looks like KL Convention centre...where all the events is held there...along the way to there...we all keep taking pix...and there are many nice place to visit actually... Here is one fot the bulding look like library..but actually is a church - Saint Peters Square...

* Saint Peters Square*

In Manchester...finally i saw the public transportation that is different with malaysia.. it actually almost same with LRT or monorail....but it is runs on the streets of Manchester...it called "Tram"...so kawaii ne..look like transit in Japan city!!

*This transit is call as "Tram"..it connect with Bury in the north, Altrincham in the south and Salford Quays and Eccles in the west.*

Our first destination will be Manchester convention centre...This convention centre is almost same with Malaysia, KL convention centre, where all the events are held...the only different is that, it has a big clock there!!! we arrive there at around 8am...quiet early...nobody is there...and the weather is quiet cold as well...

*Convention Centre*

Everyone seem very happy taking picture....and behind the convention centre, is the pyramid building - Urbis...amazing architecture building!! A place that must visit when coming to Manchester...Before we move on to the next destination, again look at the map to find out the place...where is our next destination?

Next destination will be - Castlefield...We need to walk to the...it takes around 20 minutes more to arrive...as we not familiar with the place here...all we need to do..is follow the map..the onli things we can do!! therefore...now can imagine how important the MAP to us!!

*Castlefield*

Castlefield, is Britain's first urban heritage park...it look same as it is with original castle, as it is reconstructed from it...What is attractive here, not only the architecture, but also the beautiful scenary and green grass around...it really make us feel relax..what capture my heart is the - Bridgewater Canal...it looks almost same with my fav place - Venice, Italy....The river and boat can be seen here....and of coz nice view can be seen from here as well...

*Izzit look like Venice?*

The southern part of Castlefield is centred around water, while the northern part is dominated by the Museum of Science and Industry, another must-see attraction showcasing Manchester's industrial history...Move to another destination is the Museum!! The museum offers a full programme of events, there was an event at the time we went there....unfortunately, the museum not yet open...the time we arrive there is around 9am...and the time the museum open is at 10am...as a result, we decided not to wait here...as there is still a lots of place to go...

*Museum*

Without wasting our time ,we then move to next destination.... again looking at the map, decide where to go....yea...next destination will be China Town...it stands proudly over Faulkner Street. Chinatown is a major cultural and culinary attraction in Manchester...Food is the most obvious things one can see in Chinatown...all around is buffet restaurant...cost aroun £4 to £6 per person...besides, there is also church, grocery shops, bakeries...etc..During chinese new year, chinatown, is the biggest party in town.

*Chinatown...our place!!*

At around 10am...we decided to go to another place...yea!! Manchester Stadium is the next destination...everyone was happy wit it..seem it is the reason we come over here...From here, to Manchester, if walk...need to take around 2 hours...therefore, we decided to take bus....The main bus terminal is in Piccadilly Gardens area in city centre...

While waiting for bus..we decided to take our lunch at the bus stop there...is fried rice...

*tks to chun for the fried rice..n it really taste nice!! ^o^*

Bus finally arrive...all day travel to Manchester Stadium is cost £2.70 onli....!! Even everyone seem tired...but still in happy and excited mood...yeah!! MANCHESTER STADIUM...we come ler!!!
To be continue...
